Each week on the blog we hold a Wednesday Write-in, our online equivalent of the writers’ circle. We post five prompts, and everyone can respond with something they’ve written.
This is how it works:
Guidelines
There are no hard and fast rules, but here are some brief guidelines:
- You can use the prompts as inspiration or try to work them into your story somehow. Use as many as you want.
- When your story is done, post it online (your blog/twitter/in a comment here), tag with #wednesdaywritein and comment with a link so we can read it. You can write as many stories as you like.
- Please take the time to read and comment on as many other stories as you can.

I’m really excited for next week 😀
So glad to discover your Write-In — what a great idea. Just FYI, Google alerted me to your page in my weekly automatic flash writing search results. 🙂 I’ve added you to my blogroll and will be back in October, after my Sept trip, to participate. Looking forward to it!

That’s fantastic Chris! We’ll look forward to seeing you in October then, have a great trip 😀
This website is amazing! I’ll be submitting something soon. My name is Edward, I’m a mexican born Indonesian living in Shanghai, China. I have to say, this website has very fresh ideas. I wish you guys were also here in China, but for now, this online write-in is a very nice option!
Congratulations on the website!

Thank you, Edward! You never know, one day we might go global – but as you say, there’s the write-in for now. Hope you can take part next week 🙂
I definitely will! If you ever decide to go global, count me in as a volunteer 😉

Dear sirs,
I am looking for someone who may be able to help me with a writing dillemma.
I am looking for someone who can assist me with adapting a script I have written, to Radio Format.
Preferrably someone who is retired, or has time on their hands, as I am currently on a living wage, therefore have limited funds to pay for the re write.
I would also be prepared to pay a percentage of any fee, if the script was approved for production.
I really hope you can help, my details are below.
Thanks in advance
Dave
