We’re going to keep you in suspense a little longer about the winner of last week’s write-in! Sorry about that. For now, here’s the featured writer from write-in #24.
Week 24
One of the best things about reading a really good story is feeling that the author enjoyed writing it. I certainly get that sense from this lighthearted – yet wicked – piece by Patrick. Part story, part agony aunt letter and part poem, this piece pokes fun at agony aunting and the notion of publicly going to others with our problems, while celebrating the idea of just embracing what you want in life. This is really good fun, not to mention well-rhymed, and is a brilliant use of your next three minutes!
Please take a moment to read Dear Gloria and leave Patrick some feedback.
If anyone wants to workshop their writing further and get more feedback, please join our CAKE.writers group on Scribophile. Scrib is free to join and provides a safe, friendly community to get feedback from a lot of different writers.
Well-deserved.
