We had a lovely time at the Write Good Festival in Towcester yesterday. Congratulations on holding your first (nationwide!) festival, Towcester, and a massive well done to Louise Gibney for organising such a brilliant event.
The event was a fantastic chance to meet and talk to some of the local writers and to promote CAKE.shortandsweet. We officially opened our International Short Story Day competition and already have 3 entries – if you want to enter yourself you can do so at our Manchester event on Saturday, CAKE.meetup.
There is also a raffle to win one of several treats, including short story anthologies, books to get you inspired about writing, and delicious homemade cakes. Entrants to the short story competition automatically get entered into the raffle! If you can’t make it to the event but still want to enter the raffle draw – send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to enter online.
Don’t forget there’ll be a secondhand book stall donated by one of the editors. The books are in fab condition and we have picked out our favourites to review. We’ll be selling them at £2 each or 3 for a fiver – don’t miss out!
